Yay! My first comments! 
That cheered me up some. But yeah, for however personal the
topics might have gotten on that episode (dealing with terminally ill family members, suicide) the part about the dog dying too just tipped the scale for me, and is still kicking me.

Totally. I love House, but they really need to pick a direction and go with it. Hopefully we'll get more of the happy-cynical House (if such a being exists). Two more weeks and we'll see where it goes...
